America vs. Czech Republic

Public transportation consists of a short bus that runs to three places in Manhattan
Public transportation will get you to almost anywhere

Aggieville with its bars and occasional pub
Dance Clubs and Millions of pubs

Calling your cell phone when you lose it
Buying back your cell phone, that was in a window of a store under "used cell phones"

Condiments, water, refills, bread, and chips at a restaurant are free
Condiments, water, refills, bread, and chips are extra cost…20-35 Kc on average

Beer is about $3.00
Beer is less then a $1.00

Dogs are on leashes and don't come running up to you without an owner
Dogs aren’t on leashes and they like to come up to you (which I love dogs, so it's nice to get to play with them)

Graffiti is a sign of vandalism
Graffiti is art

Bigger the car, the more money you have
Bigger the club for your car, the more money you have

After a car accident the street is swept clean of the glass or metal bits
After a car accident none of the glass or metal bits are picked up and everyone drives over them causing possible flat tires or injury to pedestrians

At the store you swipe your credit card, sign and go
At the store you give them your credit card, they write down the transaction by hand, run it through the machine, hold onto your card until they double check your signature

Weekends are huge shopping days
Weekdays are hugs shopping days (especially Fridays, do not go to TESCO on Friday!)
