Ok I really, really dislike the laundry system here. First I have to reserve a room way in advance. Then they tell me eight o'clock I can get the key. So I think 8am since Czechs use military time, but actually it was 8pm, I'm totally frustrated at this. So by the time I get the key, it was past 8pm since we went out to eat with a girl from Scotland that has to head home on doctor's orders. So I start to do laundry and it's at 10pm, I found out that there's only one washer and the dryers don't work at all so you just have to hang up clothes. So I take my three loads of laundry and start them, it's annoying since I don't know how to use Czech washers. There really isn't any instructions (atleast not in English) and there's all these weird dials to turn and buttons to push. So I just tested my luck and hope that I don't ruin my clothes, or waste my time. It seemed to work out just fine, but I decided I dislike the soap I bought to wash my clothes in. So I guess I'm going to have to buy some more for the next time I wash laundry. I may not do it in the dorms anymore, I might just go spend the money to do it at a laundry mat. Oh well, I gotta go check on my last load and hang it up, so hopefully it will dry eventually (atleast by 8pm tomorrow night). Ahoj!

Hi Mandy! I am sorry for this experience...more will come soon...:+)Take it like this, you still did not need to wash your clothes in cold wather river, as our grandmothers did, right!!! To tell the truth, I definitely like the system in U.S.A when it comes to my dirty clothes. Good luck and take it easy!
